The short answer
We provide full-room wallpaper installation across Miramar, from bathrooms and bedrooms to stairwells and ceilings. Each project includes measuring, wall prep, primer, careful pattern matching and cleanup, with attention to South Florida humidity.
From single-family homes in the older eastern neighborhoods to newer gated communities toward the west, Miramar has a wide range of housing, and each style brings its own wallpaper questions. A townhome stairwell, a bathroom with a tight vanity, a dining room with a tray ceiling, a home office over the garage: we see all of them. Dream Wallpaper Installers is based in Hialeah, about 7 miles south, and we cover all four Miramar ZIP codes: 33023, 33025, 33027 and 33029. On this page we focus on how we approach full-room wallpaper in this Broward County city and what you can do to help the job go smoothly.
Typical Miramar projects
Builder-finished homes tend to have smooth or lightly textured drywall, clean corners and plenty of wall area, which makes them good candidates for wallpaper. The most common requests we get here are bathrooms, bedrooms and the long walls of open great rooms. Townhome owners frequently ask us to paper the staircase wall, a tall space that is awkward to paint and even harder to decorate with art.
Older houses in the eastern part of the city sometimes have plaster finishes, previous wallpaper hidden beneath paint, or walls that have shifted slightly over time. Those take more preparation, but they often have character that suits traditional patterns.
Steps we follow on every job
A consistent process keeps quality steady regardless of the room. We document the plan with you before the first cut so there are no surprises about where the pattern will start or how corners will be handled.
- Measure each wall and confirm roll count against the pattern repeat
- Check surfaces for moisture, texture, gloss and loose paint
- Patch, sand and apply a wallpaper-specific primer
- Plan the pattern start point and hide the final mismatch
- Hang from plumb, match seams and trim at ceiling and base
- Replace cover plates, clean the floor and label leftover rolls
Bathrooms in a humid climate
Bathrooms make up a big share of our Miramar work, and they demand the right product. A full bath with a shower needs vinyl or a vinyl-coated paper on non-woven backing and an exhaust fan that actually vents outside. Powder rooms without a shower have more freedom and can carry printed papers, metallics or even delicate textures.
We seal edges carefully around tubs, vanities and mirrors, because moisture entering at a seam is what causes lifting. Caulk lines are kept neat so they do not compete with the paper.
Ceilings, stairwells and tall walls
High walls require scaffolding or extension ladders, plus careful planning so long strips stay straight from top to bottom. A pattern that drifts even slightly over a tall drop becomes obvious near the ceiling. We use a laser line and check frequently.
Ceilings are another specialty. Papering overhead adds warmth to a bedroom or creates a jewel-box effect in a small powder room. It also involves fighting gravity with every strip, so we schedule extra time and a second installer.
Picking patterns for open layouts
In an open-concept Miramar home, a papered room is rarely seen in isolation. The dining area flows into the kitchen, the kitchen into the family room, and a hallway may frame a view straight through to the patio. That means the paper you choose has to get along with the finishes nearby: cabinet color, flooring tone, the paint on adjoining walls.
A useful rule is to pull one color from the paper and repeat it somewhere else in the open area, perhaps on pillows, a rug or a light fixture. It ties the space together. Where a papered wall ends at an outside corner, we wrap a short return or stop cleanly at the edge, whichever looks more natural for the pattern.
Small-scale prints tend to blur into texture from across a long room, while larger motifs stay legible. Before cutting, we step back to the far side of the space with a sample to judge how it will read from the sofa, not just from arm's length.
How you can prepare
Clear shelves, remove artwork and take down curtains on the walls being papered. Keep the AC running normally in the days before we arrive so walls are stable. If your community has gate access rules or contractor parking restrictions, send them to us in advance.
Wet season storms, common from May to October, can push humidity indoors quickly, so keep doors closed during the install. If a storm warning arrives during hurricane season, we will work with you to move the date rather than rush.
Our installers also cover Miami Lakes, Hialeah Gardens, Miami Gardens, Opa-locka and Medley.
